Blog 6: Postgraduate studies
Although I am just in my second year of the career, during quarantine I have realized a field that I actually really like. In fact, it is related to a hobby that I love which is gardening. There is a field of Arqueology named Archaeobotany and, as far as I know, it can be related to the study of the food production of past societies, the evolution of crops and the human influence on plants. So, while I been trying to learn about being able to produce my own food to provide my family, I realized this is an amazing way of getting rid of supermarkets chains and improving the relationship with our environment without damaging it. Anyways, like I said, I still have nothing clear, but I would love to continue studying this issue after graduating so I could be part of investigating things that could be really helpful and empowering for a society that desperately need a change in the way of relating with the environment in a sustainable way. I have not investigated where is the best place to study this, but I would like to study in Chile, specifically Austral university in Valdivia because what I want to learn is the history of native food and its evolution in the south of the country, and I guess there is nothing better than being right there.

how interesting the subject, did not know of its existence. studying in valdiva must be very nice
