Blog 5: my future job

Honestly, I have no idea of how my future is going to be or what job I would like to have. Of course, my dream job would be not working at all and living in my dad’s mountain cabin, cultivating my own food and not worrying about the city problems. However, this year I realized that I like Anthropology, the career I am in, so I plan to graduate as an archaeologist and I would love to travel to the US or Germany for getting a Phd. I don't dream about making a lot of money, just the enough to live and save to leave the city and settle down in the mountains like I said. But before doing that, something that I would definitely love to do is having my own coffee shop or a bakery. Cooking is one of the things that I love the most and I would love to make it a way of living. Maybe I wont get I job with my degree and I will just focus on the cooking, or I will find a way to make both. Nevertheless, I change my mind constantly and there are still three years to finish my degree, so I have ti...

Blor 4: books

I have always liked books, even though now at college I only read what I have to, because it is too much. However, there is a book that I read at least once a year only because I love it;  Santa María de las Flores Negras, by Hernán Rivera Letelier. It is a novel about real and fictitious characters who live an historical tragedy in the north of Chile where "salitre" workers used to live one of the worst miseries of human history. At the beginning of the twentieth century, thousands of workers made their way through the Atacama desert to protest in the city of Iquique for better living conditions.  I chose this book because it was the first one that read from Rivera Letelier, but I recommend all of his work.  He is one of my favorite writers because he makes you fall in love with the story in a way that you will be devastated when it ends, and the most amazing thing is that you bring to memory characters and some of the most horrible injustices which no one should ever fo...

Blog 3: movies and series

My favorite series in the world right now is Dark. This german production is directed by Nikolaus Summerer and the first season was released on 2017. This show has literally the most complicated and difficult to understand story. It is located in Winden, a mysterious town where really weird things happen all the time which everyone is trying to find out by themselves. The main families are the Kahnwald, the Nielsen, the Doppler and the Teademann, all related to each other somehow. I can't give you anymore details about the characters because it would be probably a spoiler. But the mystery has something to do with time travel. People missing, a creepy nuclear power plant, family dramas and many lies.   The reason why I like it the most is because every chapter has a big twist that blows your mind, and every season adds bunch of new things that change the posible ending to this drama. I already watched it 3 times and I'm waiting for the last third season to come out on June 27th...

Blog 2: Best Holidays

Imagen
About five years ago, I went with my family (my parents and my brother) to Conguillio National Park, located in the Araucanía Region, in Chile. We stayed there for a week and we slept in the camping under old and beautiful araucarias. We spend most of the time hanging out together, climbing the mountain and getting to see the amazing view of the park. Also, I took by myself a class of snorkel diving in the deepest areas of the lake. It was kind of scary, but definitely amazing. It was the best time I ever had with my family. I will never forget the park because it made me fall completely in love with the south of Chile and the mountain. All of the different animals and plants in there were endemic species that may disappear because of humans, so as the water of the huge and wonderful lake that stars this magical landscape which I can’t wait to visit again.

Blog 1: a country I'd like to visit.

When it comes to places to  visit, the  first one that comes to mind is India. The main reason is  the  amazing  places you can visit, the food  and  the whole different way of living .  This huge country in the south of Asia is a  mystery  for most of the people from the continent where I live. The principal attractions that may surprise you are the incredible architecture, the amazing monument such as Taj Majal temple, Ganges river,  the Holi festival,  and so many others.        A cool fact about  Indian   culture  is that most of the people speaks English, the only language I know besides Spanish.  As well , India stands out for the largest vegetarian population in the world  with 40 % of the   Indians , and it is because of religious reasons. For that last reason, the thing that I would like doing the most in India is trying all the food  possible , especially differen...
